Clearmanage is world first CSP to achieve MTCS Tier 3 certification

Singapore, 12 September, 2014 – Singapore-based cloud service provider (CSP) Clearmanage Pte Ltd has achieved both ISO 27001:2013 and Multi-Tier Cloud Security Standard for Singapore (MTCS SS 584:2013) Tier 3 certification. It is the first CSP in the world to attain the highest security service level attainable in MTCS SS 584:2013 standard.

Announced by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore on 13 November 2013, the MTCS SS 584:2013 is the world’s first cloud security standard to help certified CSPs spell out the levels of security that they can offer to their users. The standard has three levels of security. Tier 3, which is the most secure level, is designed for regulated organisations to address high impact information systems such as financial and health systems where sensitive information and highly confidential business data reside.

“Clearmanage is keeping to our commitment to providing reliable cloud services at the highest levels of security. Within 2 short months of achieving Tier 1 certification, we have gone through an intense period to have all policies, procedure and control mechanisms in place to be MTCS Tier 3 and ISO 27001 certifications compliant. Having once again raised the bar for our cloud security standard, clients and partners hosted on Clearmanage’s Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform can be assured that their data is now better protected,” said Alex Ng, General Manager of Clearmanage.

Clearmanage will also be opening a new cloud front, in an Uptime Institute certified Tier III datacentre in Singapore, to complement their MTCS Tier 3 certification. The new cloud front is designed to work in conjunction with existing datacentres to provide better business continuity and disaster recovery options. In additional to the infrastructure upgrade, Clearmanage will introduce a new suite of security services to help clients better secure and protect their valuable digital assets and reputation in this challenging security landscape.

Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore Assistant Chief Executive Khoong Hock Yun said, “Differing industries need varying levels of cloud security, with Singapore’s Multi-Tier Cloud Security standard being a key way to enable clarity for customers. We are heartened that Clearmanage have obtained the highest level possible—tier three. This level is particularly stringent to help meet the standards of highly secure data hosted by industries in the cloud. We are encouraged by the strong takeup and keen interest in our standard, which we see as a crucial enabler in Singapore’s drive to become the world’s first Smart Nation.”

Clearmanage is Singapore first CSP to achieve the MTCS Tier 1 Standard

Singapore, 7 August, 2014 – Singapore-based cloud service provider (CSP) Clearmanage Pte Ltd has fulfilled stringent audit requirements for the new Multi-Tier Cloud Security Standard for Singapore (MTCS SS 584:2013). It is Singapore’s first CSP to achieve the MTCS SS 584:2013 Tier 1 standard.

Multi-Tier Cloud Security Standard (MTCS SS 584:2013) is the world’s first cloud security standard to help certified CSPs spell out the levels of security that they can offer to their users. Announced by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore on 13 Nov 2013, the  MTCS SS 584:2013 is an industry initiative that provides businesses with greater clarity on the security service levels provided by cloud computing providers. The standard also seeks to increase the level of accountability and transparency from such providers.

“Clearmanage is committed to providing high levels of security. We have invested heavily in infrastructure, technology and resources to ensure that all MTCS SS 584:2013 requirements are fulfilled beyond Tier 1 standard. All our processes and policies have been further enhanced to address the various stringent requirements of the standard and the growing security demands of the current industry landscape.” said Alex Ng, General Manager of Clearmanage. “Clients on our government and enterprise public cloud services can be assured that cloud hosting on our Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model are reliable and secure.”

As more enterprise and government outfits adopt cloud computing for their businesses, a standardised approach such as the Multi-Tier Cloud Security Standard is crucial to assure businesses of the quality, security and reliability of cloud service provided by CSPs. Under the MTCS SS 584:2013, Clearmanage will disclose service-oriented information in service level agreements including data retention, data sovereignty, data portability, liability, availability, business continuity, disaster recovery, as well as incident and problem management.
